Market Wrap International:

Global markets ended last week mixed as investors weighed moderating U.S. economic data, shifting monetary-policy expectations, and ongoing geopolitical risks. In the U.S., sentiment cooled after softer labor figures and cautious Federal Reserve commentary tempered optimism about near-term rate cuts, while elevated valuations in technology and growth stocks continued to draw scrutiny. In Europe, markets tracked Wall Street lower amid persistent inflation pressures, weak industrial activity, and uncertainty around the ECB’s policy path, though select corporate earnings provided limited support. Across Asia, trading was restrained as renewed foreign outflows, sluggish export momentum, and currency weakness offset optimism over incremental policy support from Chinese authorities and improving regional trade indicators.
