Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities ended with mixed results as volatility around geopolitical developments in the Middle East and profit-taking in interest-rate-sensitive sectors weighed on sentiment, with technology and defense names offsetting broader weakness. The S&P 500 rose +0.04%, the NASDAQ rose +0.4%, and the Dow Jones declined -0.1%, reflecting divergent sector flows amid risk-off impulses and firm energy and tech components.

European equities ended lower as investors weighed global headwinds including elevated yields and caution ahead of key macro prints, with broad-based selling in cyclical and financial stocks. The FTSE 100 fell -1.2%, the DAX declined -2.6%, the CAC slipped -2.2%, and the EURO STOXX 600 eased -1.6%, underscoring regional downside pressure in the face of risk-aversion.

Asian markets are trading softer as risk sentiment remains subdued amid spillovers from U.S./Middle East geopolitical tensions and weak export demand, with cyclicals and tech underperforming. China’s SHCOMP gained +0.5%, South Korea’s KOSPI was closed, Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell -1.3%, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng slipped -2.1%, reflecting broad downside across regional benchmarks.
