Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Thursday, gaining 84 points (+0.8%) to close at 11,252. The index opened 12 points below its previous close, then gradually increased throughout the session to close at the highest point by the end of the day. In general, 20 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 188 shares rose while 67 fell. Banks (+0.6%), Materials (+1.2%), and Energy (+0.7%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Aramco (+0.7%), ACWA Power (+3.0%), and Sabic (+2.7%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume by -4% to reach 342mn shares, while the value increased by 10% to reach SAR5.4bn in value traded.
