Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Tuesday, gaining 92 points (+0.9%) to close at 10,519. The trading session opened with a slight gain compared to the previous close, then declined and held in the red zone until the middle of the session, before rebounding and rising gradually to close in the green zone. Overall, 21 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 233 shares rose while 20 fell. Banks (+1.0%), Materials ‎‎(+0.9%), and Energy (+0.6%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (+1.1%), Saudi National Bank (+2.7%), and Aramco (+0.6%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume of 1% to reach 243mn shares, while the value fell by -34% to reach SAR4.3bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. stocks slipped as investors positioned cautiously ahead of the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting, with lingering inflation concerns and weaker economic signals keeping sentiment in check. The S&P 500 fell -0.1%, the Dow Jones lost -0.3%, and the Nasdaq edged down   -0.1%.

In Europe, markets declined sharply, pressured by weakness in financials, industrials, and real estate. Persistent growth worries and higher bond yields weighed heavily on sentiment, with the DAX dropping -1.8%, the CAC -1.0%, the FTSE 100    -0.9%, and the Euro Stoxx 600 -1.1%.

Asian equities showed a mixed performance. The Kospi rose 1.2% on strength in chipmakers, while the Nikkei 225 gained 0.3% and the SHCOMP added 0.04%. The Hang Seng slipped -0.03%, reflecting continued caution over China’s economic outlook.
