Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Tuesday, gaining 254 points (+2.4%) to close at 10,964 level. TASI opened significantly higher, up by 174 points compared to the previous close, then saw a decline for a few hours before recovering and continuing its upward trend to close at the highest point of the day. In general, 20 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 248 shares rose while 5 fell. Banks (+3.2%), Materials (+1.6%), and Real Estate (+3.8%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (+2.8%), Saudi National Bank (+3.2%), and ACWA Power (+3.5%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value by 90% and 109% respectively, to reach 436mn shares and SAR8.4bn in value traded.

 

 

 

 

Market Wrap International:

Wall Street rallied on Tuesday as easing tensions in the Middle East and measured comments from Fed Chair Jerome Powell lifted investor sentiment. Sector gains were led by Information Technology (+1.61%), Financials (+1.50%), and Communication Services (+1.39%). The Nasdaq rose by 1.4%, the S&P 500 advanced by 1.1%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained by 1.2%.

European stocks also ended higher, supported by the ceasefire between Israel and Iran, which helped soothe geopolitical concerns. However, a sharp drop in oil prices weighed on energy stocks. The CAC 40 added 1%, the DAX rose by 1.6%, the Euro STOXX 600 climbed by 1.1%, and the FTSE 100 increased by 0.01%.

 

Asia-Pacific markets moved higher after President Trump confirmed the ceasefire between Israel and Iran was in effect. The Nikkei 225 gained 1.1%, the KOSPI rose by 3%, the Shanghai Composite (SHCOMP) edged up by 1.2%, and the Hang Seng Index advanced by 2.1%.
