Tadawul Review: 

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) extended its losing streak to five sessions on Monday, dropping 106 points (-0.9%) to close at 12,266. The index opened lower by 11 points and continued its decline throughout the session, with 17 out of 21 sectors closing in the red. Banks (-1.2%), Utilities (-2.1%), and Materials (-0.6%) were the biggest drags, while Al Rajhi Bank (-1%), ACWA Power (-2.2%), and Aramco (-0.5%) were the top contributors to the decline. Market activity surged, with trading volume rising 25% to 220 million shares and turnover increasing 29% to SAR 5.3 billion.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

Global Markets , European and Asian Stocks Gain Amid U.S. Holiday Closure With U.S. markets closed for Washington’s Birthday, global investors turned their attention to European and Asian trading sessions.

In Europe, defense stocks propelled major indices to fresh highs on Monday, driven by expectations of increased regional military budgets ahead of key U.S.-Russia discussions on Ukraine. The FTSE 100 rose 0.4%, the DAX gained 1.3%, the Euro STOXX 600 advanced 0.5%, while the CAC 40 edged up 0.1%.

In Asia, Japanese equities saw gains, led by Gas & Water, Power, and Real Estate sectors. Regional indices also moved higher, with the SHCOMP rising 0.3%, the NIKKEI 225 up 0.1%, and the KOSPI climbing 0.7%. Meanwhile, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index dipped slightly by 0.02%.
