Tadawul Review:

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Thursday, increasing 21 points (0.2%) to close at ‎‎11,726. The index initially opened 1.43 points above the previous closing level but saw increased volatility mid-session before ultimately ending up. Out of the 21 sectors, 14 closed in the green, with 141 shares advancing, while 94 declined. The Banks sector (0.4%), Media sector (4.8%), and Food & Beverages sector (1%) were the leading contributors to the gains. Among individual stocks, Al Rajhi Bank (0.6%), Almarai (2%), and Saudi Research ‎‎(5.7%) posted the strongest gains. Trading activity recorded a -19.1% decline in volume, with 271 million shares traded, while the value increased by 14.5%, reaching SAR 6.2 billion.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

In a volatile week on Wall Street, U.S. stocks rebounded sharply on Friday as the risk of a government shutdown eased, though investors remained cautious amid escalating trade tensions. The S&P 500 saw broad gains, led by information technology rising 3.03%, energy up 2.81%, and financials advancing 2.3%. The S&P 500 rose by 2.1%, the Nasdaq gained by 2.6%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced by 1.7%.

European markets ended higher on Friday, driven by strong gains in German equities as political parties neared an agreement on debt rule reforms. Improved investor sentiment helped lift broader markets after a volatile week. The CAC 40 rose by 1.1%, the DAX gained 1.9%, the Euro STOXX 600 advanced by 1.1%, and the FTSE 100 edged up by 1.1%.

Asian markets advanced on Friday, recovering from earlier losses despite another decline on Wall Street. Chinese stocks led gains after state-run banks were instructed to boost consumer spending, while broader regional sentiment remained cautious amid escalating trade tensions. The Hang Seng rose by 2.1%, the SHCOMP increased by 1.8%, and the Nikkei 225 advanced 0.7%, while the KOSPI decreased by            -1.3%.
