Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Thursday, gaining 83 points (+0.7%) to close at 11,764. The trading session began positively, with a 13-point increase compared to the previous close, and continued to gradually increase until the end of the session. The index advanced to the highest closing level since April 3. However, it started to recover after the midpoint of the session, closing in the green zone. In general, 19 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 173 shares rose while 67 fell. Materials (+2.5%), Banks (+0.4%), and Telecommunications (+1.8%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Maaden (5.7%), Al Rajhi Bank (+0.8%), and Saudi Telecom (+1.5%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 35% and 14% respectively, to reach 398mn shares and SAR7.0bn in value traded.

US stock indices rose on Friday, with Wall Street supported by strong gains in technology-related shares, particularly in the semiconductor sector. Investors largely looked past ongoing tariff uncertainty, focusing instead on potential signs of easing U.S.-China trade tensions. The Semiconductors & Semiconductor Equipment sector climbed 2.91%, Consumer Discretionary rose 1.96%, and Information Technology advanced 1.62%. The S&P 500 rose by 0.7%, NASDAQ gained by 1.3%, and Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced by 0.1%.
European shares edged higher, supported by optimism over a potential easing in U.S.-China trade tensions and boosted further by positive corporate earnings reports. The STOXX 600 edged up 0.4%, DAX advanced 0.8%, France’s CAC 40 posted gains of 0.4%, and FTSE 100 climbed 0.1%.
Asia-Pacific markets advanced, following Wall Street’s third consecutive day of gains, fueled by a tech-led rally and optimism over easing U.S.-China trade tensions, alongside hopes for potential Federal Reserve rate cuts. Japan’s Nikkei 225 gained 1.9%, the KOSPI advanced 1.0%, and Hang Seng increased 0.3%, while the SHCOMP fell 0.1-%.
