Market Wrap International:

Over the past two weeks, U.S. markets have gained strongly, with the S&P 500 and NASDAQ rising notably and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increasing more modestly. This week, the Federal Reserve's July FOMC meeting minutes will be released on Wednesday, providing insights into future policy, and economic data on Thursday, including initial jobless claims and existing home sales, which will highlight the labor market and housing sector.

In Europe, major indices showed mixed results. Some indices posted moderate gains, while others lagged behind, reflecting a varied performance across the region. Investors are also awaiting the Eurozone Manufacturing PMI SA, scheduled for release on August 22, which may provide further insight into the economic outlook.

Asian markets were notably robust on a weekly average. Japan saw significant improvements in its indices, and South Korea also experienced solid gains. The Hang Seng improved as well, whereas the Shanghai Composite remained relatively flat. Looking ahead, the People's Bank of China (PBoC) is scheduled to announce its interest rate decision this week.
