Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Sunday, dropping by -36 points (-0.3%) to close at 10,574. TASI opened slightly below its previous closing level and quickly surged by over 120 points in early trading before it pull back and gradually decline to close in the red zone by the end of the session Overall, 13 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 102 shares fell and 134 rose. Banks (-0.6%), Materials (-0.4%), and Real Estate (-1.0%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (-1.2%), Saudi National Bank (-1.3%), and Maaden (-2%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume by -12% to reach 234mn shares, and value by -42% to reach SAR 3.7bn in value traded.

In the U.S., focus turns to CB Consumer Confidence and Fed Chair Powell’s testimony on Tuesday, June 24, which continues into Wednesday, June 25. On Thursday, June 26, markets will look to the Q1 GDP (QoQ) figures, followed by the closely watched Core PCE Price Index (YoY) on Friday, June 27.
