Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities ended lower as the surge in oil prices driven by escalating Middle East tensions reinforced inflation concerns and pushed Treasury yields higher, prompting a rotation away from technology and other growth sectors while energy stocks offered only limited support; major markets finished lower as investors reassessed the Federal Reserve policy outlook under a more uncertain inflation backdrop. European equities ended lower, tracking the weaker global tone as elevated energy prices and persistent geopolitical uncertainty weighed on sentiment and kept pressure on cyclical sectors, while defensive names provided only modest stability amid cautious positioning; major markets finished lower. Asian markets ended lower as higher oil prices and sustained Middle East tensions continued to pressure regional risk appetite, with export-oriented sectors, particularly technology, underperforming as investors reacted to the implications for inflation and growth; major markets finished lower.
