Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Tuesday, gaining 8 points (+0.07%) to close at 10,799.92. The index opened in line with its previous close, but before closing it faced selling pressure, yet remained in the green zone. Overall, 11 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 164 shares rose while 87 fell. Utilities ‎‎(+1.7%), Food & Beverages (+1.2%), and Consumer Services (+1.4%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, ACWA Power (+2.8%), Maaden ‎‎(+0.9%), and Almarai (+1.5%) were the major contributors to the index rise. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of +24% and ‎‎+25%, respectively, to reach 305mn shares and SAR ‎‎5.5bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:  

U.S. equities ended higher as easing Middle East tensions and continued optimism over corporate earnings and artificial intelligence-driven investment supported risk appetite, with technology and semiconductor shares leading the advance despite expectations that the Federal Reserve could keep interest rates elevated. Investors also positioned ahead of the upcoming earnings season, while cyclical sectors benefited from improving market sentiment. The S&P500 rose 0.8%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.3%, and the NASDAQ advanced ‎‎1.5%.

European equities ended higher as improving global risk sentiment and strength in technology shares lifted regional markets, while lower energy prices and expectations for resilient corporate earnings provided additional support. Financials and industrials also contributed to gains as investors continued to assess the economic outlook and central bank policy expectations. The FTSE 100 gained 0.1%, the DAX advanced ‎‎1.5%, the CAC 40 rose 0.4%, and the EURO STOXX 600 increased 0.9%.

Asian markets ended mostly higher as optimism surrounding artificial intelligence-related technology demand and stronger regional risk appetite outweighed concerns over higher U.S. Treasury yields and currency volatility. Japanese equities were supported by technology exporters, while mainland Chinese markets gained on improving economic sentiment, although Hong Kong underperformed amid profit-taking in technology shares. The SHCOMP rose 0.5%, the KOSPI advanced 1.0%, the Nikkei 225 gained 0.9%, while the Hang Seng declined -0.6%.
