Market Wrap International:

U.S. markets are positioned to end 2025 on a strong note with major indexes trading near record territory as investors look ahead to key Federal Reserve meeting minutes, reflecting broad optimism and momentum in equities despite light holiday trading. European markets are anticipated to follow the positive year-end trend seen in U.S. sentiment, though full regional trading resumes this week after holiday closures, leaving investors focused on macro cues and monetary policy expectations. In Asia, major markets finished higher as optimism around potential U.S. interest rate cuts and robust regional performance lifted sentiment, with gains in South Korea and Taiwan offsetting a modest retreat in Japan, while precious metals also saw renewed interest on rate-cut bets. Overall, the session reinforced a cautiously constructive global market tone as 2025 draws to a close, with participants watching incoming data and central-bank guidance for direction into 2026.
