Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Thursday, gaining 4 points (+0.04%) to close at 11,343.17. The index opened 17 points below its previous close, but before closing it faced selling pressure, yet remained in the green zone. Overall, 5 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 70 shares rose while 188 fell. Energy (+0.8%), Materials (+0.5%), and Telecommunication Services (+0.5%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Saudi Aramco (+0.8%), Sabic (+1.4%), and Sabic AGRI-Nutrients (+2.0%) were the major contributors to the index rise. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -33% and -36%, respectively, to reach 271mn shares and SAR 5.4bn in value traded.

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities ended mixed as investors balanced firm inflation data and rising Treasury yields against continued strength in large-cap technology shares, while maintaining a cautious stance toward Federal Reserve policy expectations. Rate-sensitive sectors remained under pressure as markets priced a prolonged pause in interest rates, while defensives saw selective support. Technology and communication services outperformed, helping stabilize broader sentiment despite underlying macro uncertainty. The NASDAQ rose 0.4%, the S&P 500 declined     -0.1%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell -0.6%.

European equities ended with a mixed but slightly firmer tone, supported by improving global risk sentiment following Wall Street’s resilience and easing concerns around energy prices. Gains were led by defensive sectors and selective industrial names, while financials showed more muted performance amid interest rate uncertainty. The FTSE 100 declined -0.03%, the DAX fell -0.01%, while the CAC 40 rose 0.2% and the EURO STOXX 600 advanced 0.4%.

Asian markets are trading higher, supported by improved global sentiment and strength in technology and semiconductor stocks following gains in U.S. peers. Regional markets also benefited from stable currency conditions and continued investor appetite for growth sectors, with South Korea and Japan leading advances. The Nikkei 225 rose 1.8%, the KOSPI gained 1.4%, while the Hang Seng increased 0.5% and the SHCOMP advanced 0.5%.
