Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Tuesday by -22 points ‎‎(-0.2%) to close at 11443 levels. TASI opened the session on a positive note, up 13 points from the previous close. After the initial jump, the index continued declining until the end of the session. In general, 12 out of 20 sectors closed in the red zone, while 140 of 223 shares fell and 71 rose. Energy (-‎‎1.2%), Insurance (-1.2%), and Telecom (-0.5%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Aramco (-‎‎1.3%), Elm Co. (-3.5%), and Saudi Telecom (-0.6%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decline in volume by -4% to reach 169mn shares, while the value traded remained unchanged.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

In the U.S, the key equity benchmarks initially faced difficulty ahead of consumer-confidence and job-openings data but gained momentum following favorable economic data and rally in tech names. The Federal Reserve's reliance on data remained a prominent consideration for traders. The S&P 500 Index closed the session at ‏1.5‏ % with all eleven listed sectors recording gains. Nasdaq Composite Index closed at 1.7 % The yields on 2-10-year tenures rose by 1.2-1.7bps.

European stocks rose on Tuesday as investor risk appetite was lifted by China's economic stimulus measures and positive UK inflation data. The Stoxx 600 was up +1%. FTSE 100 was up ‎‎(1.7%). The country-level indices were up in a range between of +0.7%|+0.9%. The stocks have erased a portion of their gains accumulated this year amid worries over higher-for-longer interest rates and a crisis in China’s property market.

In Asia, Chinese stocks built on their previous day's gains as investors found merit in Beijing's latest market-boosting measures. However, lingering doubts persisted regarding the long-term impact of these initiatives. The Chinese indices SHCOMP and Hang Seng were up by +1.2% and +1.9%. As same as the equity indices in Japan TOPIX (+0.2%) | NIKKEI ‎‎225 (+0.2%). The major indices in the region closed on a positive note in a range of 0.1% |0.7%.
