Tadawul Review:  

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Wednesday, climbing by 141 points (1.3%) to close at 10,984. TASI opened slightly higher than its previous close but quickly fell into negative territory amid early-session fluctuations. The index then stabilized and gradually gained momentum, closing in positive territory by the end of the session. Overall, 20 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, while 207 shares rose and 46 fell. Banks (+1.7%), Telecommunications (+2.9%), and Materials (+1.3%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank ‎‎(+1.1%), Aramco (+0.9%), and Saudi National Bank (+2.3%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value by 9.5% and 8.4%, respectively, to reach 565mn shares and SAR5.3bn in value traded.

 

Market Wrap International:

Wall Street extended its rally on Wednesday, driven by a breakthrough trade deal with Japan. The agreement slashes tariffs to 15% and sparked renewed expectations for a similar deal with the EU, sending the S&P 500 to fresh record highs. Health Care (+2.03%), Industrials (+1.75%), and Energy (+1.54%), were among the top three sectors. The S&P 500 climbed by 0.8%, the NASDAQ gained by 0.6%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced by 1.1%.

European stocks climbed as optimism from the U.S.–Japan trade breakthrough spilled over, particularly boosting automakers. The CAC 40 gained by 1.4%, the Euro STOXX 600 advanced by 1.1%, the DAX increased by 0.8%, and the FTSE 100 saw an advance of 0.4%.

Across the board, Asian markets experienced gains, fueled by the optimistic global outlook that followed the U.S.–Japan trade agreement. The NIKKEI 225 gained by 3.5%, the SHCOMP increased by 0.01%, KOSPI experienced a gain of 0.4%, and the Hang Seng posting an increase of 1.6%.
