Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Tuesday, gaining 57 points (+0.51%) to close at 11,231.61. The index opened 3 points below its previous close, but before closing it faced selling pressure, yet remained in the green zone. Overall, 12 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 121 shares rose while 129 fell. Banks (+1.5%), Utilities (+2.0%), and Insurance (+2.4%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Alrajhi (+2.5%), ACWA (+2.6%), and BSF (+1.9%) were the major contributors to the index rise. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume of -1% to reach 304mn shares, while value witnessed an increase of +1% to reach SAR 6.1bn in value traded.
