Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities ended lower as weakness in big technology and software names pressured major benchmarks following a retreat in tech shares and broader investor caution. Tech sector underperformance, led by declines in key AI-linked stocks, weighed on sentiment alongside a rebound in safe-haven metals that reflected risk aversion. The S&P 500 fell ‏-‏0.8%, the Dow Jones declined ‏-‏0.3%, and the NASDAQ slipped ‏-‏1.4%.

European equities ended slightly softer on mixed cues from global markets with limited domestic macro catalysts and follow-through from U.S. losses tempering sentiment; broader indices showed modest divergences as value-oriented sectors outperformed defensives. The FTSE 100 eased ‏-‏0.3%, the DAX edged ‏-‏0.1%, the CAC dipped ‏-‏0.02%, while the EURO STOXX ‎‎600 marginally rose 0.1% on headline-level trading.
