Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Sunday, down by -67 points (-0.5%) to close at 12,217 levels. TASI started the session Negatively, opening with fell of 6 points but then started to decline gradually until the end. In general, 16 of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, and 147 shares fell while 78 rose. Utilities (-3.5%), Banks (-0.4%), and Insurance (-3.4%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, ACWA Power (-4.7%), Al Rajhi Bank (-0.6%), and Elm Co. (-3.7%) were the major contributors to the index’s fall. The trading activity witnessed a decline in volume and value of -22% and -27%, respectively, to reach 231mn shares and SAR5.3bn in value traded.
In the U.S, inflation likely experienced a moderation in April, marking the first decline in six months. This brings a glimmer of hope that price pressures will begin to ease once more, potentially impacting investor sentiment next week especially after a string of upside surprise
