Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Thursday, gaining 185 points (+1.7%) to close at 11,134. The index opened 18 points above its previous close and continued to rise, breaking the 11,000 level and closing at its highest point by the end of the session. In general, ‎‎20 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 205 shares rose while 53 fell. Banks (+2.7%), Energy (+1.0%), and Utilities (+3.2%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (+3.1%), Saudi National Bank (+2.4%), and Aramco (+1.0%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 15% and 44%, respectively, to reach 269mn shares and SAR6.8bn in value traded.

 

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities ended mostly flat after a session marked by cautious positioning ahead of key economic data and ongoing debate over monetary policy, with investors balancing mixed earnings cues and shifting rate expectations; technology names provided support while cyclical sectors saw selective profit-taking, as concerns about global trade developments kept risk appetite muted. The S&P500 rose 0.03%, the Dow Jones declined -0.6%, and the NASDAQ increased 0.3%.

European equities ended slightly mixed amid a blend of earnings releases, cautious macro sentiment, and cross-Atlantic trade uncertainty, with defensive sectors providing modest support as export-oriented stocks weighed; risk sentiment was tempered by macro data and central bank guidance. The FTSE 100 fell -0.1%, the DAX rose 0.2%, the CAC declined -0.1%, and the EURO STOXX 600 edged down -0.09%.

 

Asian markets are trading higher as optimism around regional recovery and external liquidity flows supports equity demand, with technology and export sectors leading gains while some markets remain sensitive to global growth signals; investors are also watching currency dynamics and domestic data for cues. The SHCOMP rose 0.3%, the KOSPI gained 0.8%, the NIKKEI ‎‎225 advanced 0.3%, and the Hang Seng increased 0.4%.
