Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Tuesday, dropping 26 points (-0.24%) to close at 11,100.74. The index opened 25 points above its previous close, but it recovered some losses before the close; however, it still ended in the red zone. Overall, 8 out of 20 sectors closed in the red zone, and 126 shares rose while 137 fell. Banks (-0.8%), Telecommunication Services (-0.8%), and Real Estate Mgmt & Dev't (-0.8%) sectors contributed the most to the index decline. Stockwise, Alrajhi (-0.7%), SNB (-1.1%), and BSF (-1.9%) were the major contributors to the index decline. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -43% and -49%, respectively, to reach 246mn shares and SAR 5.2bn in value traded.
