Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Thursday, increasing by 28 points (+0.2%) to close at 12,145. TASI began the session positively, opening with a 6-point gain from the previous close. It faced fluctuations throughout the day but closed at the highest point of the session. Overall, 14 out of ‎‎21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 103 shares rose while 119 fell. Banks (+0.4%), Energy (+0.7%), and Utilities ‎‎(+0.8%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (+1.6%), Aramco (+0.7%), and ACWA Power (+1.0%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of ‎‎68% and 79%, respectively, to reach 417mn shares and SA12.2bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International: 

On Friday, stocks increased, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average hitting a new record high as investors wrapped up a fluctuating month on a strong note. Meanwhile, traders assessed important inflation data that is closely followed by the Federal Reserve. The S&P 500 climbed by 1%, the Nasdaq Composite increased by 1.1%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a 0.6% increase.

European stocks rose as cooling inflation increased hopes for larger rate cuts by the European Central Bank. The DAX reached a new high after Germany’s August consumer prices fell unexpectedly. The CAC 40 fell by -0.1%, the DAX declined by -0.03%, and the FTSE 100 edged down by -0.04%.

Asian stock markets climbed in sync with their U.S. counterparts. Key indices performed strongly, with the KOSPI up 0.5%, the Nikkei 225 and the Shanghai Composite both rising by 0.7%, and the Hang Seng increasing by 1.1%.
