Tadawul Review:

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) inched down on Wednesday, losing -35 points (-0.3%) to close at 11,399. The index opened 4 points lower than the previous close and remained in negative territory throughout the session. The day’s trading range spanned from -45 to ‎‎+25 points. 17 out of 21 sectors ended in the red, with 168 stocks declining and only 74 advancing. The Banks (-0.3%), Energy (-0.6%), and Materials (-0.3%) sectors were the biggest drags on the index. Key contributors to the decline included Al Rajhi Bank (-1%), Aramco (-0.6%), and SABIC (-1.3%). Trading activity slowed, with volume falling -4.5% to 212 million shares, while value increased by 5.1% to SAR 4.8 billion.

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities finished higher on Wednesday, rebounding after two days of losses. The Federal Reserve maintained its key interest rate, while investors remained cautious amid ongoing trade tensions. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.7%, the S&P 500 gained 0.4%, and the Nasdaq Composite edged up 0.3%.

European equities declined as investors booked profits and awaited key macroeconomic data, with sentiment further dampened by geopolitical tensions and weak earnings in select sectors; the DAX fell -0.6%, the Stoxx 600 dropped -0.5%, the CAC 40 slid -0.9%, and the FTSE 100 lost -0.4%.

Asian equities ended mixed on Wednesday as investors weighed fresh policy support from China against lingering concerns over global trade tensions, with the Nikkei 225 slipping -0.1% amid a stronger yen and tech sector weakness, while the Hang Seng edged up 0.1% as traders reacted to stimulus hopes from China.
