Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Sunday, dropping by ‎‎-109 points (-1%) to close at 10,732. The index opened significantly lower, down 411 points from the previous close. It then gradually increased until shortly after the middle of the session, before declining again toward the end. Overall, 18 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 223 shares fell and 25 rose. Banks (-1.6%), Materials (-1.8%), and Real Estate (-2.8%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (-1.5%), Saudi National Bank (-‎‎3.1%), and ACWA Power (-2.7%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume by 14% to reach 292mn shares, while the value decreased by -4% to reach SAR5.1bn in value traded.

 

Market Wrap International:

This week, markets are closely monitoring important central bank decisions and inflation data. On Monday, June 16, the Bank of Japan will announce its monetary policy rate decision. Wednesday, June 18, is particularly significant, as the United States Federal Reserve will not only release its interest rate decision but will also provide updated economic projections from the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), in conjunction with Consumer Price Index (CPI) reports from the United Kingdom and the Eurozone. Subsequently, on Thursday, June 19, the Bank of England will disclose its own rate decision.
