Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Thursday, gaining 51 points (+0.4%) to close at 11,760. The trading session began positively, with a 10-point increase compared to the previous close, then fluctuated until the end of the session. In general, 14 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 123 shares rose while 109 fell. Energy ‎‎(+2.6%), Insurance (+1.3%), and Utilities ‎‎(+0.8%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Aramco ‎‎(+2.6%), ACWA Power (+1.0%), and Jabal Omar (+2.7%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 14% and 29%, respectively, to reach 229mn shares and SAR5.8bn in value traded.

U.S. stocks edged higher on Friday, reversing earlier losses after President Donald Trump suggested that upcoming tariffs might be less severe than initially feared. The S&P 500 and Dow Jones posted modest gains as investors weighed mixed signals from the Federal Reserve. In the S&P 500, communication services led with a 1% gain, followed by consumer discretionary at 0.63% and information technology at 0.49%. The S&P 500 rose by 0.1%, the Nasdaq increased by 0.5%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced by 0.1%.

European markets ended lower on Friday, dragged down by the travel sector following the temporary closure of Heathrow Airport due to a fire at a nearby substation. The incident weighed on travel and leisure stocks, contributing to the broader market decline. The CAC 40 fell by -0.6%, the Euro STOXX 600 declined by -0.6%, the FTSE 100 dropped by -0.6%, and the DAX slipped by -0.5%.

Japanese stocks closed lower on Friday, dragged down by losses in the shipbuilding, manufacturing, and services sectors. The Hang Seng fell by -2.2%, the SHCOMP decreased by -1.3%, the Nikkei 225 declined by -0.2%, and the KOSPI gained by 0.2%.
