Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities ended mixed as broad market benchmarks reflected divergent sector performance following a record high in the S&P ‎‎500 and continued macro uncertainty, with sentiment influenced by expectations that the Federal Reserve will keep interest rates steady and ongoing U.S. dollar weakness. The S&P 500 rose 0.4%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.8%, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.9%.

European equities ended modestly higher overall, with investors remaining cautious amid mixed earnings and trade developments and a backdrop of geopolitics and monetary policy positioning; the FTSE 100 advanced on stronger mining and financials, and broader markets reflected appetite for risk ahead of key global data, while German equities lagged marginally reflecting ongoing sector rotation. The FTSE 100 gained 0.6%, the DAX declined ‎‎0.2%, the CAC 40 advanced 0.3%, and the EURO STOXX 600 rose 0.6%.

The SHCOMP rose 0.2%, the KOSPI advanced 2.7%, the Nikkei 225 rose 0.8%, and the Hang Seng gained 1.4%.
