Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Wednesday, gaining 10 points (+0.1%) to close at 10,974 level. TASI opened 35 points higher than the previous closing level, faced some fluctuations, but gradually rose after the middle of the session and closed in the green. In general, 17 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 180 shares rose while 66 fell. Insurance (+1.4%), Real Estate (+0.4%), and Capital goods (+1.3%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Saudi National Bank (+1.0%), Elm Co. (+4.2%), and Saudi Telecom (+0.6%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -33% and -28%, respectively, to reach 292mn shares and SAR6.1bn in value traded.

European shares closed lower, giving up the previous session’s gains as investors remained cautious amid the fragile ceasefire between Iran and Israel. The CAC 40 experienced a drop of -0.8%, the DAX diminished by -0.6%, the Euro STOXX 600 declined by -0.7%, and the FTSE 100 fell by -0.5%.
Asian markets traded higher, supported by positive cues from Wall Street and relief over the Israel-Iran ceasefire. While sentiment improved, investors remained cautious as the risk of renewed tensions lingered. The Nikkei 225 climbed by 0.4%, the KOSPI recorded increases of 0.1%, the SHCOMP went up by 1.0%, and the Hang Seng index registered a gain of 1.2%.
