Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) continued to rise on Thursday, increasing by 7 points (+0.1%) to close at 12,194. The index opened positively, gaining 7 points from the previous close, but experienced fluctuations throughout the session. Overall, 14 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 133 shares rose while 90 fell. Insurance (+1.3%), Materials (+0.3%), and Utilities (+0.5%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Takaful (+6.6%), ACWA Power (+0.5%), and Riyad Bank (+1.5%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -19% and -15%, respectively, to reach 325mn shares and SAR7.5bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International: 

U.S. stock index futures saw gains on Friday, driven by optimistic expectations that the Federal Reserve might begin easing its policies next month. The S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average both rose by 1.1%, while the Nasdaq Composite increased by 1.5%.

European stocks climbed on Friday as investors assessed the Federal Reserve's recent remarks regarding the future trajectory of interest rates. The CAC 40 rose by 0.7% and the DAX reported a 0.8% increase, while the Euro STOXX 600 rose by 0.5%, reflecting a broadly positive trend across European markets.

 

On Friday, most Asian stocks edged higher, building on Thursday’s gains driven by optimism over potential lower U.S. interest rates. However, overall gains were capped as a downward revision in U.S. payrolls data unsettled markets, with investors also eyeing key upcoming announcements from the Federal Reserve and the Bank of Japan that could impact global interest rate trends. In Asian market performance, the NIKKEI 225 registered a gain of 0.4%, the Shanghai Composite experienced an increase of 0.2%, and the KOSPI declined by -0.2%.
