Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Tuesday, gaining 57 points (+0.5%) to close at 12,434. The trading session began negatively, with a 5-point decrease compared to the previous close, before gradually increasing until the end of the session. In general, 15 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 155 shares rose while 70 fell. Banks (+0.9%), Telecommunications (+1.2%), and Health care equipment and services (+0.9%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (+1.6%), Saudi Telecom (+1.4%), and Alinma Bank (+0.7%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume by 36% to reach 370mn shares, while the value decreased by -4% to reach SAR6.3bn in value traded.

Japanese stocks climbed, leading broad gains across Asia as investors reacted to Trump’s decision to postpone tariffs on U.S. trade partners. The Hang Seng gained by 2.8%, the NIKKEI 225 rose by 0.7%, and the KOSPI advanced by 1.1%.
