Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Thursday, falling by -‎‎29 points (-0.2%) to close at the 12,099 level. TASI started the session negatively, opening with a fall of -1 point, then displayed fluctuations throughout the session until it closed. Overall, 16 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 158 shares fell and 66 rose. Materials (-0.5%), Utilities (-0.6%), and Energy (-0.4%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Aramco (-0.4%), Al Rajhi Bank (-0.3%), and ACWA Power (-0.7%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume by 35% to reach 604mn shares, and the value rose by 3% to reach SAR7.6bn in value traded.

 

 

 

Market Wrap International: 

On Friday, the S&P 500, Nasdaq Composite, and Dow Jones all declined as technology shares struggled. A disappointing update on the U.S. job market further fueled worries about the economy. The S&P 500 experienced a decline of -1.7%, while the Nasdaq Composite saw a decrease of -2.6%. Additionally, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by -1%, reflecting a broad downturn in major U.S. stock indices.

European shares dropped for the fifth day in a row on Friday, experiencing their worst decline since early August. This slump followed a U.S. jobs report that gave unclear signals regarding the potential for a Federal Reserve rate cut later this month. The CAC 40 and Euro STOXX index both dropped by -1.1%, while the DAX fell by -1.5%.

 

Major Asian indices dropped as technology stocks struggled. The decline was worsened by a disappointing U.S. jobs report, which cast uncertainty on the Federal Reserve's policy moves and heightened global economic concerns. The Hang Seng Index remained unchanged on Thursday, the NIKKEI fell by -0.7%, and the KOSPI decreased by -1.2%, reflecting a broadly negative trend across the region.
