Market Wrap International:

U.S. stocks edged higher as investors positioned cautiously ahead of Nvidia’s earnings, which later revealed strong results but lingering concerns over data-center sales and China exposure. Gains in energy (+4.6%), consumer non-durables (+3.1%), and finance (+2.5%) supported the market, while technology-linked areas underperformed on valuation worries. By the close, the S&P 500 rose (%0.2+), Dow Jones (%0.3+), and Nasdaq (%0.2+).

European markets were mixed, with the FTSE 100 (%0.1-) stabilizing after political jitters over central bank autonomy, the DAX (%0.4-) weighed by weakness in financials, while the CAC (%0.4+) advanced. The Euro STOXX 600 ended marginally higher (%0.1+).

Asian equities saw sharper moves as Nvidia’s results and U.S.–China tensions pressured sentiment. The Shanghai Composite fell (%1.8-), Hang Seng (%1.3-), while the Nikkei 225 (%0.3+) and Kospi (%0.2+) managed modest gains.
