Tadawul Review: 

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Wednesday, dropping by 8 points (-0.1%) to close at 11,868. TASI opened modestly higher, edging up by 7 points from the previous close. However, it then experienced a gradual decline until the end of the session.Overall, 10 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 141 shares fell and 88 rose. Materials (-0.6%), Real Estate (-1.4%), and Utilities (-0.7%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (-0.3%), ACWA Power (-0.6%), and Maaden (-1.1%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -34% and -21%, respectively, to reach 422mn shares and SAR4.7bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International: 

The U.S. stock markets closed with a mixed trend on Tuesday, amid ongoing concerns about the escalating geopolitical tensions between Russia and Ukraine. The S&P 500 remained unchanged, the Dow Jones industrial average rose by 0.3%, while the NASDAQ fell by -0.1%.

European markets ended Wednesday on a mixed note as traders kept a close eye on rising tensions in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The FTSE 100 dipped -0.2%, the DAX dropped -0.3%, the CAC 40 fell -0.4%, and the broader Euro STOXX 600 declined -0.02%.

Asian stocks largely mixed on Tuesday as fears of further escalation in the war between Russia and Ukraine increased. Major indices, including the SHCOMP, gained 0.7%, the KOSPI rose 0.4%, and the Hang Seng edged up 0.2%. In contrast, the NIKKEI 225 declined by -0.2%.
