Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Monday, gaining 135 points (+1.3%) to close at the 10,867 level. TASI opened 24 points higher than the previous closing level and continued to gradually increase until the end of the session. In general, 19 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and ‎‎223 shares rose while 23 fell. Banks (+0.9%), Materials ‎‎(+1.9%), and Utilities (+5.4%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, ACWA Power (+6.9%), Al Rajhi Bank (+1.5%), and Sabic (+2.8%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume and value of -11% and -5%, respectively, to reach ‎‎260mn shares and SAR4.8bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. stocks rebounded on Monday, regaining some ground after last week’s declines, as easing geopolitical tensions lifted sentiment. Reports suggesting Iran is open to easing hostilities with Israel and potentially resuming nuclear talks helped calm markets. The Communication Services sector rose 1.53%, Information Technology gained 1.52%, and Consumer Discretionary climbed 1.20% as risk appetite returned ahead of a pivotal week for central bank decisions. The Nasdaq increased by 1.5%, the S&P 500 climbed by 0.9%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average moved up by 0.8%.

Major European stock markets ended higher, bouncing back from last session’s losses as attention turned to the G7 summit in Canada. Investors looked ahead to talks focused on global security, economic stability, and technology collaboration, with hopes that diplomatic efforts might ease tensions in the Middle East. The CAC 40 moved up by 0.7%, the DAX climbed by 0.8%, the Euro STOXX 600 went up by 0.4%, and the FTSE 100 improved by 0.3%.

Asian stock markets held firm, displaying resilience despite rising tensions between Israel and Iran that stirred fears of a wider conflict in the Middle East. The Nikkei 225 saw an uptick of 1.3%, the KOSPI posted a rise of 1.8%, the SHCOMP experienced a 0.3% increase, and the Hang Seng index reported a 0.7% surge.
