In general, 8 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 79 shares rose while 147 fell. Banks (+0.9%), Telecommunications (+1.7%), and Energy (+0.3%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (+0.6%), Saudi Awwal Bank (+3.2%), and Aramco (+0.4%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 9% and 42%, respectively, to reach 213mn shares and SAR5.6bn in value traded.
