Market Wrap International:
U.S. equities ended with a mixed performance at the close of last week as investors balanced another round of strong corporate earnings, particularly from large-cap technology companies, against expectations that the Federal Reserve will keep monetary policy restrictive for longer. Continued resilience in artificial intelligence-related spending supported technology shares, while higher Treasury yields limited broader risk appetite and encouraged selective positioning across sectors. In Europe, major markets broadly reflected Wall Street's constructive tone, with corporate earnings and resilient financial and industrial shares providing support despite lingering caution over the interest-rate outlook and regional economic momentum. In Asia, major markets finished the week on a weaker footing as investors reacted to the earlier rise in global bond yields, a pullback in semiconductor-related stocks, and ongoing currency pressures, leading to more cautious trading across export-oriented markets while sentiment remained selective.
