Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Monday, ‎gaining 28 points (+0.2%) to close at 11,785. The trading ‎session began positively, with a 14-point increase ‎compared to the previous close. It quickly reached its ‎highest point within a few minutes but then lost some ‎of the gains before ultimately closing in the green zone. ‎In general, 13 out of 21 sectors closed in the ‎green zone, ‎and 86 shares rose while 154 fell. Banks ‎‎(+0.3%), Real ‎Estate (+1.7%), and Capital goods (+2.2%) sectors ‎contributed the ‎most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al ‎Rajhi Bank ‎‎(+0.7%), Jabal Omar (+3.8%), and Umm Al ‎Qura for Development & Construction (+9.8%) ‎were the ‎major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an ‎increase in volume and value of 28% and 52% ‎respectively, to reach 383mn shares and SAR6.5bn in ‎value traded.‎

 

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. stocks edged higher on Monday as investors prepared for a busy week of earnings and economic data, while awaiting progress on trade negotiations. Utilities rose 0.70%, Real Estate gained 0.68%, and Energy advanced 0.63%. The S&P 500 climbed by 0.1% and Dow Jones Industrial Average gained by 0.3%. In contrast, NASDAQ dropped by -0.1%.

European markets ended higher on Monday, supported by optimism over easing U.S.-China trade tensions and as investors prepared for a busy week of major earnings reports and key economic data releases. The STOXX 600 edged up 0.5%, DAX advanced 0.1%, France’s CAC 40 posted gains of 0.5%, and FTSE 100 climbed 0.03%.

 

Asian markets traded mixed on Monday, as investors weighed China’s pledges to bolster domestic businesses alongside ongoing trade negotiations between the U.S. and regional economies. Japan’s Nikkei 225 gained 0.4%, the KOSPI advanced 0.1%, while Hang Seng had an unnotable modest loss while SHCOMP fell -0.2%.
