Tadawul Review:

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose for the eighth day of Monday’s session, up by +87 points (+0.7%) to close at the 12,296 level. TASI opened the session with no change from previous close, then started to increase gradually during the session to close at its intraday high. In general, 13 out of 20 sectors closed in the green zone, while 95 shares rose and 125 fell. Materials (+1.2%), Energy (+1.4%), and Utilities (+2.4%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Aramco (+1.5%), ACWA Power (+2.9%), and Maaden (+3.8%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of +38% and +40%, respectively, to reach 378 million shares and SAR11.0 billion in value traded.

 

 

 

Market Wrap International:

In the global market, traders paused for breath after optimism about eventual Federal Reserve interest-rate cuts and easing inflation pushed. The S&P 500 slightly fell by -0.1% after hitting a fresh intraday record with 4 out of 11 sectors falling, which have been significantly affected by the technology. Similarly, the Nasdaq composite posted negative return of -0.3%.

In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 rose by +0.5% while the UK's blue-chip FTSE 100 started the week on a muted note as investors braced for a data-heavy week and policymakers' remarks for cues on the path of interest rates.

In Asia, A key gauge of Asian equities declined amid muted trading volumes with many markets in the region closed for holidays, with investors looking ahead to US inflation data for clues on Federal Reserve policy.
