Tadawul Review:  

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Thursday, dropping by -32 points (-0.3%) to close at 11,007. The index opened 6 points lower than its previous closing level, then experienced some fluctuations before closing in the red zone. Overall, 11 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 117 shares fell and 125 rose. Banks (-‎‎0.5%), Energy (-1.3%), and Real Estate (-0.5%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Aramco (-1.3%), Saudi National Bank (-1.8%), and Al Rajhi Bank (-0.3%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 18% and 4%, respectively, to reach 256mn shares and SAR4.1bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

U.S. stocks ended mostly lower on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipping by -0.3%, while the Nasdaq Composite managed a modest gain, marking its record high. Energy (-0.96%), Health Care (-0.60%), and Consumer Staples (-0.37%) were among the weakest sectors. The S&P 500 dropped by -0.01%, while the NASDAQ gained by 0.05%.

European shares ended flat, with declines in major healthcare stocks offset by gains in the oil and gas sector, wrapping up a week dominated by corporate earnings across the region. The CAC 40 advanced by 0.01% and FTSE 100 gained by 0.2%. In contrast, the DAX dropped by -0.3% and the Euro STOXX 600 dipped by -0.01%.

Asian markets were mixed on Friday, with Wall Street’s record highs and positive economic data offering support, while Tokyo lagged ahead of Japan’s weekend upper-house elections. The NIKKEI 225 slipped by -0.2% and the KOSPI declined by -0.1%. On the other hand, the SHCOMP increased by 0.5% and the Hang Seng posted an increase of 1.3%.
