Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Monday after rising for five consecutive days, dropping by 39 points (-0.3%) to close at 11,164. The index opened 2 points above its previous close and fluctuated throughout the session before ending in the red zone. Overall, 10 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 133 shares fell and 118 rose. Banks (-1.3%), Telecommunications (-1.9%), and Food and beverages (-1.7%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (-2.5%), Etihad Etisalat (-3.1%), and Almarai (-2.5%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 20% and 45%, respectively, to reach 301mn shares and SAR7.3bn in value traded.
