Market Wrap International:
U.S. equities ended little changed as investors balanced steady Treasury yields and ongoing expectations around Federal Reserve policy with selective strength in technology shares. Gains in large-cap and AI-linked names provided modest support, while cautious positioning and weakness in some cyclical sectors limited broader upside. The S&P 500 rose 0.1%, the NASDAQ advanced 0.2%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell -0.1%.
European equities ended lower as subdued risk appetite and pressure in industrials and consumer sectors outweighed any positive spillover from U.S. markets, with investors remaining focused on growth outlook and inflation dynamics. Energy and defensive names provided only limited support, leaving the broader market under mild pressure. The FTSE 100 fell -0.6%, the DAX declined -0.2%, the CAC 40 dropped -0.2%, and the EURO STOXX 600 slipped -0.3%.
Asian markets are trading with a mixed but generally firmer tone as strength in technology and export-oriented sectors supported key indices, while some markets lagged on cautious domestic sentiment. The KOSPI rose 2.2%, the Nikkei 225 gained 1.4%, the SHCOMP increased 0.2%, and the Hang Seng fell -0.2%.
