Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Thursday, gaining 29 points (+0.26%) to close at 10,954.46. The index opened 11 points below its previous close, but before closing it faced selling pressure, yet remained in the green zone. Overall, 16 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 170 shares rose while 90 fell. Materials (+1.1%), Banks (+0.2%), and Telecommunication Services (+1.0%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Maaden (+2.0%), Alrajhi (+0.5%), and STC (+1.2%) were the major contributors to the index rise. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of +29% and +37%, respectively, to reach 261mn shares and SAR 5.1bn in value traded.
