Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Tuesday, up by +13 points (+0.1%) to close at 12,180 levels. The trading session began on a positive note, with a 5-point gain from the previous close, but then displayed fluctuations throughout the session until it closed. In general, 10 out of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 106 shares rose while 117 fell. Food and beverages (+3.8%), Banks (+0.2%), and Insurance (+0.5%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Al Rajhi Bank (+1.1%), Savola (+6.7%), and Almarai (+2.2%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume by 38% to reach 451mn while the value decreased by -17% to reach SAR7.3bn value traded.

 

 

 

Market Wrap International: 

On Tuesday, U.S. equity futures declined on Tuesday as investors resumed trading after the long weekend, approaching the market with caution while anticipating crucial labor market data. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by -1.5%, the S&P 500 decreased by -2.1%, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped by -3.3%.

European stocks wavered as investors remained wary ahead of upcoming economic data and the key U.S. jobs report on Friday. The CAC 40 down by -0.9%, the FTSE 100 fell by -0.8%, and DAX decreased by -1%.

 

Asian markets faltered on Tuesday as investors prepared for an important US jobs report later in the week and kept a close watch on China, following recent data that reignited concerns about the world's second-largest economy. Key indices experienced mixed performance: the Hang Seng fell by -0.2%, the TOPIX increased by 0.6%, and the KOSPI was down by -0.6%.
