Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Tuesday, down by -139 points (-1.1%) to close at 12,121 levels. TASI started the session negatively, opening with fell of 4 points but then started to decline gradually until the end. In general, 20 of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, and 200 shares fell while 30 rose. Materials (-1.6%), Banks (-0.5%), and Health care equipment and services (-3.7%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, SNB (-1.4%), Aramco (-0.5%), and Sulaiman Al Habib (-3.0%) were the major contributors to the index’s fall. The trading activity witnessed an increase in volume and value of 6% and 5%, respectively, to reach 285mn shares and SAR7.3bn in value traded.

 

 

 

 

Market Wrap International:

The U.S. market experienced a rise, with the S&P 500 increasing by 0.5% and the Nasdaq composite surging by 0.8% as investors eagerly awaited the release of producer price inflation data and analyzed the speech by Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, seeking clues about the future monetary policy in the world's largest economy.

In Europe, investors remained cautious as they awaited the release of inflation data scheduled for the following Friday. Consequently, the Euro Stoxx 600 index saw a slight uptick of 0.2%. On the other hand, the FTSE 100 experienced a gain of 0.2% fueled by positive earnings reports, which boosted confidence among investors.

In Asian markets, the SHCOMP index fell by -0.1%, and the Hang Seng fell by -0.2%. Stable bond markets, upbeat stocks, and subdued volatility overshadowed concerns over tariffs and gloomy Chinese data.
