Tadawul Review: 

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose on Tuesday, up by +32 points (+0.2%) to close at 12,804 levels. TASI started the session positively, opening with a gain of +2 points and continued to rise gradually during the session until the end. In general, 13 of 21 sectors closed in the green zone, and 96 shares rose while 125 fell. Real Estate (+1.9%), Energy (+0.8%), and Utilities (+1.4%) sectors contributed the most to the index rise. Stockwise, Aramco (+1.0%), ACWA Power (+1.7%), and Jabal Omar (+4.0%) were the major contributors to the index’s rise. The trading activity witnessed a decline in volume and value of -32% and -11%, respectively, to reach 456mn shares and SAR 9.9bn in value traded.

 

 

 

Market Wrap International:

In the U.S., the S&P 500 recorded a 0.6% increase, with ten sectors witnessing gains, and the Nasdaq composite also saw a 0.4% rise before the latest Federal Reserve policy-setting meeting. Nvidia's annual developer conference remains ongoing, while oil prices maintained stability on Tuesday, hovering near four-month highs after breaking out of range-bound trading last week.

In Europe, the first Bank of England rate cut in late summer appears increasingly probable, supported by money market pricing and short-term trading signals. Additionally, the Stoxx Europe 600 index rose by 0.3%, and the FTSE 100 rose by 0.2%.

In Asia, the Nikkei 225 and TOPIX index recorded gains of 0.7% and 1.1%, respectively, as the yen weakened following the Bank of Japan's decision to meet market expectations and end eight years of negative interest rates. The Hang Seng ended lower by -1.2%, and the Shanghai Composite Index fell by -0.7%.
