Market Wrap International:

U.S. equities ended higher as easing inflation concerns and continued optimism around artificial intelligence supported technology shares, while investors looked ahead to the start of the second-quarter earnings season and further guidance from Federal Reserve officials. Semiconductor and large-cap growth stocks outperformed, helping offset a modest rise in Treasury yields and keeping risk appetite constructive across Wall Street. The NASDAQ gained 0.9%, the S&P 500 advanced 0.4%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.02%.

European equities ended higher as investors took their cue from Wall Street's resilience and remained encouraged by improving sentiment toward technology and industrial shares, although gains were moderated by caution ahead of key central bank developments and corporate earnings releases. Energy shares also found support from firm oil prices, while defensive sectors lagged the broader market. The FTSE 100 gained 0.3%, the DAX rose 0.1%, the CAC 40 increased 0.03%, and the EURO STOXX ‎‎600 advanced 0.2%.

Asian markets are trading higher as softer U.S. inflation data and renewed strength in global technology stocks improved risk sentiment across the region, while expectations that major central banks may be able to ease policy later this year supported buying interest. Technology and export-oriented sectors led gains, with Chinese equities also benefiting from optimism surrounding additional policy support measures. The SHCOMP gained 1.4%, the KOSPI rose 0.7%, the Nikkei 225 advanced 0.7%, and the Hang Seng increased 0.5%.
