Daily Market Monitor 3-03-2025

Tadawul Review:

Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell on Sunday, ‎‎‎dropping by -76 points (-0.6%) to close at 12,035. The ‎‎‎index opened Higher than its previous close, and after a slight rise in the early minutes, selling pressure pushed TASI into negative territory ‎‎eventually closing at its lowest point of the day. Overall, 18 out of 21 sectors closed in the red zone, while 209 shares fell and 37 rose. Banks (0.6%), Materials (-0.7%), and Insurance (-1.9%) sectors contributed the most to the index fall. Stockwise, Riyad Bank (-3.4%), Al Rajhi Bank (-0.4%), and Sal Saudi Logistics Services (-10%) were the major contributors. The trading activity witnessed a decrease in volume of -34% to reach 201mn shares, and the value decrease by -59% to reach SAR3.4bn in value traded.

 

 

Market Wrap International:

The Federal Reserve will release its Monetary Policy Report on Friday, March 7, 2025, followed by a speech from Fed Chair Jerome Powell.

The European Central Bank (ECB) will announce its Interest Rate Decision on Thursday, March 6, 2025, followed by a press conference on the same day.

China’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) for February will be released on Saturday, March 8, 2025. In Japan, the Services PMI for February is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, 2025, while Q4 Capital Spending (YoY) data will be published on Monday, March 3, 2025.
